The incident occurred due to an electrical failure caused by a surge after a blackout. When the service was restored, the excess voltage triggered a power cut and a fire that devastatedthe three homes.

Currently, two families are housed in the Video Room, located at the corner of 2nd Street and 11th Street, while the third family remains at El Sapo, as the offered shelter is at risk of collapsing.

Donations of mattresses, bedding, basic furniture, non-perishable food, stoves or kitchen utensils, and hygiene and personal care items are requested.

The specific clothing and shoe sizes for each family member are detailed to facilitate donations. Additionally, support is requested from food manufacturing businesses, as families do not have food and there are three children and an elderly sick woman who require special attention.
