Marta Perdomo and her husband reported police abuse against their son, political prisoner Jorge Martín Perdomo.
"The torture continues, the horror continues. I don't have a connection to do a live broadcast, but I do to denounce this injustice. The chief of the prison, Major López, grabbed Jorgito by the neck and pushed him into the theater, which is filled with sewage water where the urine from the bathrooms above falls," he reported this Saturday in a Facebook post.
Perdomo stated that it is a location "where there is an outbreak of hepatitis, tuberculosis, the perfect place for prisoners to get sick, and he has already gone through bronchitis because of being in that very place."
Jorge Martín's mother recalled that "the chief doctor of the province prohibited many months ago from continuing to place inmates in that location."

“Jorgito values his life and that's why he doesn't want to be there; as a mother, I want my children's lives to be healthy, but unfortunately, they are being held captive. What I want is to hear the voice of my son Jorgito, and from this prison chief, I expect the worst,” said the mother of the also political prisoner Nadir.
In a later live stream, Perdomo stated that she would go to State Security to demand explanations and that she would not allow them to kill her son.
His children, Jorge and Nadir, were arrested on July 17, 2021, after participating in the historic demonstrations of July 11 in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque.
Sentenced to six and eight years in prison respectively, they have become symbols of the repression against the Cuban youth that protests peacefully. Their mother has since maintained a constant public outcry despite the regime's threats.
Jorge and Nadir, both professionals—one in Mathematics and Computer Science, the other in Foreign Languages—received their first prison release in mid-September 2023 after more than two years of being incarcerated.
The images of his temporary return home, marked by emotion and the visible thinness of the young people, shocked those who follow his case.
After their arrest, their parents reported that the government fabricated charges to keep them in prison and were threatened for their online posts.
Initially, they were charged with conspiracy, and later additional charges were added for incitement to commit a crime, public disorder, contempt, and spreading an epidemic.
The youths' lawyer filed an appeal and challenged an evident bias from the court for discrediting the defense's evidence without confronting it with other proofs.
The mother reported that the trial was filled with lies. She said her son Nadir was brought before her "with the 'shakiras' on, as if he were a criminal." The prison authorities separated the brothers, another form of torture against them.
In April 2022, the Provincial Court of Mayabeque denied the brothers' appeal.
Marta Perdomo has become one of the most prominent figures in the fight for the freedom of Cuban political prisoners.
