Systematically, the brothers' mother asks for justice for the young people and makes visible this case of violation of their human rights by charging them with the false crime of public disorder and contempt.

Marta Perdomo He took to the streets once again to demand the freedom of his childrenJorge and Nadir Martín Perdomo, sentenced to eight and six years in prison, respectively, for their participation in the demonstrations of theJuly 11, 2021 in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque.

"Like every Sunday, demanding the freedom of Jorge and Nadir, I tell Israel Rojas that if he does not know a political prisoner, here I introduce him to two wonderful young people who only asked for changes for our nation, professionals, parents," wrote the woman inFacebook, addressing the leader of the Buena Fe duo - a supporter of the regime - who in the last week said he was unaware that there were political prisoners in Cuba.

"As a civic act in front of the church, together with the chimes, I ask for the freedom of my children and all political prisoners, tell me what mother does not ask for her children, and even more so when they are unjustly imprisoned," he added.

The brothers' mother systematically asks for justice for the young people and makes visible this case of violation of their human rights by charging them with the false crime of public disorder and contempt in an ordinary trial held last year.

Jorge and Nadir, held in the Quivicán prison, have the support of their families and independent institutions thatdemand their release.

At the end of September, the mother of the political prisoners expressed her fear for the safety of one of her children after discovering among his belongingssharp and sharp objects that were not your property.

The young man found a blade under the mattress and later an awl in his pocket.

Jorge Martín Perdomo stated last year in aletter sent from prison that he and his brother Nadir remain deprived of their freedom due to their ideas “and not because they are violent.”

In the letter, he denounced that the trial against him and his brother was rigged, did not comply with due process and the real cause of their respective convictions has more to do with their convictions of opposition to the Cuban regime than with any act of violence.

The United States government included them in its campaignPrisoners why, and condemned the sanctions against two citizens who only protested in the streets against the Cuban regime and in compliance with the Constitution.
