Flor de Cuba responded to a follower who left an offensive comment on a social media post regarding the bad example she supposedly sets for her son. The influencer chose to respond in the best way possible by sharing a phone conversation with her son.
“The difference is that I will be able to ask my two children for this, thanks to the education and affection they have received. However, you will not have those family benefits, for you have never been an example of a mother for your son,” the internet user said.
The Cuban influencer shared a video where she is heard talking with her son about programming, quantum physics, and other areas of knowledge. But what stood out the most were the child's responses, which displayed admirable values.
"Without the respect you deserve, your child would not be able to have a smooth 10-minute conversation with my child. Your child will grow up judging, probably bitter seeing the example of a failed parent who dedicated themselves to commenting on the lives of others instead of building their future. You are indeed a disgrace as a parent and as a human being," Flor shot back.
“If God gave you the chance to be reborn and choose another mom, would you choose another one?” Flor asked her son at a moment in the dialogue, visibly touched.
"No, because I have the privilege of having a mom who was able to overcome drugs and move forward," the boy replied.
The influencer added: “My oldest son is 11 years old, has been programming since he was 9, takes classes with professors from UCI, competes in municipal chess tournaments, is Christian, and reads the Bible every day. He knows about quantum physics and has an IQ four years above his age. He doesn't use bad language, thanks me for everything I send him, and is incapable of disrespecting others. He is a loved and cherished child in his community and by his family. He has values and understanding of manhood. Yes! He is the son of the addict… Who above all loves me, respects me, understands me, and accepts me.”
Flor's response was applauded by many of her followers who praised her for the upbringing she has given her son.
