The renowned director and screenwriter María de los Ángeles Núñez Jauma passed away on the afternoon of July 25 due to a heart attack at La Covadonga hospital in Havana, as reported by the Centro de Teatro de La Habana through its profile on Facebook.

According to the wishes of the family, she will be cremated and her ashes will be placed in the family vault during a private ceremony, the note added.
