The Avila writer Félix Sánchez passed away this Saturday at the age of 69 after several days of being hospitalized and battling a lung infection.
“Ah, brother, my legs have given out and everything has turned dark. ‘I love you so much’: with time, one discovers that it is the only phrase worth feeling proud of when we say it at the right moment. Fortunately, I am sure you heard me say it to you repeatedly. I will continue to need your protection and your embrace now more than ever, because once again I am so small that I don’t know how to take a step, think, or speak.
