“I rented a bus to the beach in Corralillo with my husband's family and friends to spend a lovely day after so much pain and suffering from his deportation,” the woman explained in a video shared on her TikTok account (@roxanamaldonado_), where the arrival of the vehicle at a rural home can be seen as a little girl walks toward it along a dirt path.

"I will never allow anything or anyone to dictate the direction of our lives," he added in the emotional message that accompanies the video, which has generated numerous supportive reactions on social media.
