The model Lina Luaces is already preparing to represent Cuba in the 74th edition of Miss Universe, which will take place in November in Thailand, and she has chosen a great ally to refine her smile.
The young woman, crowned as Miss Universe Cuba 2025 on July 8th in Hialeah, entrusted her dental treatment to the renowned dentist Vivian Menéndez, founder of Art Dental Studio.
The Cuban model has an upward career trajectory and plenty of charisma. She is the daughter of the presenter Lili Estefan and took a strategic step to complete her look with a smile design using sapphire braces, an aesthetic, modern, and virtually invisible option.

“We want to enhance her natural beauty, not transform it because Lina is a beautiful woman,” explained Dr. Menéndez, who has spent over two decades perfecting the smiles of artists and public figures in Miami. Among her patients are Yotuel, Alexander Delgado, Alexis Valdés, Lenier Mesa, and Marianela Ancheta, the former Miss Universe Cuba.
What are sapphire braces and why does Lina choose this aesthetic treatment?
The sapphire braces have gained popularity for being nearly invisible, comfortable, and durable. They are made from a transparent material that does not easily stain, making them ideal for coffee or wine lovers because they leave no marks.
The finish is polished, which allows for efficient dental hygiene without compromising the aesthetic treatment process.
"The key is that they do not interfere with Lina's naturalness. This is essential when building an international public image," added Menéndez, who advocates for personalized treatments and harmonious results, distancing from artificial standards.
A beauty pageant requires a harmonious smile design
The case of Lina is reminiscent of Marianela Ancheta, whose dental transformation was an essential part of her preparation for last year's competition. At that time, it was also Dr. Menéndez who was in charge of the smile design with which Marianela shone in front of the international jury.
Lina Luaces focuses on her daily journey towards Miss Universe, displaying confidence and authenticity.
The young Cuban-American is working on her physical preparation, runway skills, languages, and projection, but the final touch to her styling could be this dental treatment designed to ensure that the harmony in her face captures all the attention at the most important beauty event in the world.
