Everyone was evacuated safely, as confirmed by the Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue Department (MDFR) to CBS News.

The incident began around 1:52 PM at a location near the 7500 block of Northwest 82nd Place, where parts for the used car dealership HGreg were being restored.

Upon the firefighters' arrival, smoke and flames were visible from various points in the city, and even from the Palmetto Expressway.

Due to the size of the fire, the initial response escalated from a second to a third alarm, mobilizing nearly 40 rescue units.

The teams used ladders, foam, and jets of water to control the flames. The partial collapse of the roof forced defensive attacks to be carried out from outside the structure.

Although no injuries were reported, the intensity of the fire increased rapidly due to the presence of engines, tires, and other automotive parts inside.

The nearby businesses were not affected. A truck carrying hazardous materials joined the efforts after 8:20 PM to continue with the safety operations.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. MDFR indicated that a specialized team is working to determine the origin of the incident, which may have been influenced by the combustion of the stored materials.

Recently, another large-scale fire consumed an abandoned warehouse located near Northeast Second Avenue and 78th Street in Miami, prompting multiple units from the City’s Fire and Rescue Department to respond.

The firefighters initially entered the building to carry out a direct attack on the fire and conduct a search inside.

After confirming that no one was trapped and due to the risk of structural collapse, the teams were evacuated from the building about ten minutes after their arrival.

The fire, which was fueled mainly by large amounts of wood stored on site, was brought under control after two hours of intense efforts.
