The activist Yamilka Laffita, known on social media as Lara Crofs, sustained an injury to her right foot after being violently arrested this Monday in Havana by agents of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR).
On Monday, Laffita was missing for several hours after leaving the home of the writer Jorge Fernández Era in the Antonio Guiteras neighborhood, when a patrol stopped the vehicle she was traveling in.
The detention was reported on social media by other Cubans, including Daniela Peral, Elena De Armas, and Fernández Era, who raised concerns about the young woman's unknown whereabouts and demanded that State Security release her.

Lara Crofs explained to her followers that the injury was a result of being pushed by a police officer while she was resisting getting into the patrol car, believing her detention was unjustified.
I will continue to exercise my right to be a free woman, to meet with whomever I deem appropriate, and I will keep supporting those who fight for a dignified future,” she stated.
He also expressed his support for Jorge Fernández Era, whom he described as a person he deeply respects.
The activist took the opportunity of the publication to send a message of encouragement to the Cuban people: “The repression cannot stop our fight, nor silence our voices. The Cuban people are ready to reclaim their dignity.”
During her disappearance, several activists left warning messages to State Security. "Lara Crofs is NOT TOUCHED, this girl has the sympathy and affection of all of Cuba. You will know," Elena De Armas warned on Facebook, denouncing the repressive actions of the authorities.
