The independent communicator Yosmany Mayeta Labrada reported on his social media that "it was workers from the Comunales Company who made the macabre discovery during waste collection."

According to their publication, the head was "swollen and decomposing" and was uncovered when the container was emptied into a dump truck, which caused immediate alarm among those present.

Residents of the area also confirmed in comments on social media that the container was located between the gas station and the MLC store in the neighborhood, which heightened the shock of those who witnessed the scene.

Some also recalled that there has been a report of a person's disappearance in the neighborhood for several days, which raises uncertainty about the victim's identity and the circumstances of the crime.

After the discovery, the police cordoned off the area. So far, the identity of the victim and the whereabouts of the rest of the body have not been publicly confirmed.

The incident has left the Santiago de Cuba community in shock and reflects a climate of insecurity that contrasts with the official narrative. The direct intervention of the MININT highlights the seriousness of an event that has caused alarm both on the island and abroad.
