A Cuban resident in Spain sparked a debate on social media with a video posted on TikTok, where she asks her followers where they think is a better place to live: in Europe or in the United States.

"There are those who say that in the United States, one can progress more quickly, that you can have your car, your house, and even your business with greater ease. And let me be clear, having money and stability is not a bad thing; it’s what we all want," the young woman expressed.

Nevertheless, he acknowledged that others prefer Europe—particularly Spain—because it offers a calmer pace of life, with more time for oneself and family, even though it comes with fewer material luxuries.

"In the end, everyone lives in a different reality: what is freedom for one person is routine for another; what is progress for one is exhaustion for another. Where do you think people live better, in Miami or in Spain?" she asked, inviting users to share their personal experiences in the comments.

The topic generates mixed opinions within the Cuban diaspora, as the United States remains the primary immigration destination due to its economic opportunities, while Spain, due to language and culture, has established itself as another major option for those looking to rebuild their lives outside the island.
