The dispute between Dominican influencer Destino Positivo and producer Roberto Ferrante, owner of Planet Records, is escalating and now directly involves reggaeton artist Oniel Bebeshito.
Destino, who recently reported having received two strikes on YouTube for alleged copyright violations imposed by Ferrante, claimed that he made a tempting offer to Bebeshito to leave Planet Records Cuba / Miami and join his new record label.
"I found out that Bebeshito has a couple of months left on his contract and he was made an offer", stated Destino on social media, after announcing that he launched his own record label for Cuban artists.
According to the influencer, the singer's departure from Planet Record would be a significant blow to the label: "You all know that Bebeshito is currently the goldmine for that label, and if that label loses Bebeshito, it will suffer a severe setback."
Destino also took the opportunity to send a direct message to the young artist: "Attention Bebeshito, think about your family, don't think about friendships, don't think about anyone, because business is business. The day may come when you might not start hitting songs and someone else takes your place, you'll move to the background. You already live in Miami, you don't live in Cuba, open your mind to the international scene".
As part of his argument, Destino cited Bebeshito's collaboration with El Alfa, noting that the track did not achieve the international impact it deserved due —according to him— to the shortcomings of the artist's current record label.
So far, neither Bebeshito nor Planet Record have publicly responded to the alleged offer or to Destino's statements.
