A video shared on TikTok shows an unusual scene in Cuba that has sparked laughter but also concern for road safety.

In the images shared by the user @yoiss.rodriguez, several people can be seen attempting to get into a modern car until they manage to fit a total of seven: two in the front seats and five in the back seat.

“Look at this, my people. You only see this in Cuba,” the woman filming can be heard saying as she laughs and showcases how tight the situation is.

Although the scene seems humorous, it also reflects a dangerous practice on the island's roads: none of the passengers in the back are wearing seat belts, which increases the risk in case of an accident.

Frequently asked questions about transportation and road safety in Cuba

Why is it dangerous to travel with so many people in a car in Cuba?

Traveling with more people than allowed in a car is dangerous because it increases the risk of accidents and injuries. In the case of the viral video in Cuba, the lack of seatbelts for passengers in the back seat significantly raises the danger in the event of a collision.
