The Cuban singer Eduardo Antonio shared a video to respond to the recent statements made by Abejas Meme in an interview with Otaola on El Mañanero.

In a live broadcast on his social media, the well-known El Divo de Placetas expressed his hurt feelings regarding the attitude of Abejas Memes, who not only allowed his host to openly mock Eduardo Antonio but also claimed that he and the singer are not friends.

In response, the interpreter described the incident as "unfortunate."

Eduardo Antonio recalled that he and the young comedian have a collaboration on social media and in nightclubs, and he stated that the interview he gave to the influencer was fateful.

"He allowed himself to be manipulated, he allowed himself to be pressured, he allowed himself to be influenced by Alexander Otaola, who you all know I have a very bad relationship with. Well, the important thing about this matter is that we all make mistakes," he commented.

The singer said that Abejas Meme was nervous and that, in his opinion, he was not ready for the interview.

However, he reproached him for not being more empathetic, given the beautiful working relationship they have maintained so far.

"The only thing I have had with Abejas Meme has been positive actions. I allowed him to work with the character of Eduardo Antonio, which I haven't allowed for everyone. I permitted him so we could have some momentum, and we created the idea that I would be the father of the character Carlitos. Furthermore, I sponsored him so he could perform at live shows in central and nightlife venues," he detailed.

Eduardo Antonio was emphatic in stating that it is very misleading to say that Abejas Meme fills the venues when he only has three tables.

"In all this story, I want to make something very clear: Abejas Meme's shows don't fulfill me. (...) I wanted to give him the opportunity to work and for people to see him live, and to have something extra beyond just social media," he clarified.

"I am clear about what I have done and what each thing is. That there was a lack of attitude, a lack of energy in saying: 'no, it shouldn't be this way now.' That there was a lack of attitude in saying: 'Eduardo Antonio is my colleague and he has supported me,' he reproached."

The singer shared on Facebook a video of the end of the interview where Otaola thanks Abejas Meme for attending his show, and from a later program in which the influencer criticizes and mocks his guest.

Finally, Eduardo Antonio invited Abejas Meme to share his thoughts on what has happened and announced that he will not take away any job opportunities from him.

"I am not going to deny anyone a job opportunity. And you know what? I’m also not going to allow anyone to try to break something that has been a momentum of success. I am not at odds with either success or money," he said.

In the comments section of the post, the Divo of Placetas asked his followers not to worry about him. "Nothing is happening. Amed and I will continue working and collaborating together, and the audience will be able to keep enjoying the momentum they have liked so much."

For its part, Abejas Meme also shared a video on Instagram in which it labeled CiberCuba's news about its interview with Otaola as gossip, and stated that El Divo is indeed its friend.

"Of course, Eduardo Antonio is my friend; I know him and am very grateful to him for allowing me to use his name and image to create this content that people love," he said.

The comedian justified himself by saying he was half asleep during the interview on El Mañanero and that he doesn't like "that they are making a big deal out of this."

"I was asleep during the interview because I got up early to go all the way there. I was dozing off and didn’t know what I was saying. You see, Otaola was telling me, 'But Abeja doesn’t say anything; Abeja only knows how to say yes, no, no, no, yes.' That’s just how I am; I don’t like interviews, but whatever. So let’s just drop this, let’s leave the gossip behind," he emphasized.

This week, Abejas Memes surprised many with the response they gave to Otaola when he asked how their collaboration with El Divo was.

"We see each other, for example, one day we make a video because people like the story we create there, we make a video and that's it. We see each other for a moment and it's not that he is my friend or that I'm with him all the time," he expressed.

The comedian hinted that his performances in El Divo's shows have been to "get accustomed" to the dynamics of Miami, and he laughed at Otaola's jabs, an attitude that left many followers speechless, having seen him and the singer share videos and performances in apparent complicity several times.
