The Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan will be the main star of the Hispanic Festival 2025 in Madrid and will perform a free concert in Plaza de Colón next Sunday, October 5 at 1:00 PM, with free access for the public.
The announcement was confirmed by the Spanish program El Hormiguero, which celebrated the participation of the artist, regarded as an icon of Latin music and one of the most influential figures in the Hispanic community in the United States.
The event is part of the cultural programming organized by the Community of Madrid to commemorate Hispanidad, featuring activities such as concerts, exhibitions, and cultural gatherings.
“We need to nurture these ties. We are living in times when we must be proud of who we are, where we come from, our families, and our language,” the artist noted during the interview.
Gloria Estefan, who has sold over 100 million records worldwide and is a multiple Grammy Award winner, returns to Spanish stages with an open-air concert in the heart of the capital. The event promises to gather thousands of people to celebrate music and culture in Spanish.
The Festival of Hispanic Heritage aims to highlight the role of the Spanish language as a cultural link among more than 500 million people worldwide, in addition to promoting the artistic diversity of Ibero-America.
Madrid will transform into an open stage for several days, featuring free activities for locals and visitors.
The Estefan concert will be one of the highlights of the schedule, and the organizers anticipate a large turnout at Plaza de Colón, a space that traditionally hosts the main events of this celebration.
The artist, who is also celebrating 50 years of career, has already warned: "Bring comfortable shoes, because we're going to dance."
