Dozens of people gathered on October 10 at the Colón Cemetery in Havana to pay tribute to the Cuban reggaeton artist El Taiger, marking the first anniversary of his passing.
The call was made by Teresa Padrón, the artist's former manager, and took place in the chapel where his ashes rest. The tribute, filled with emotion and memories, brought together fans, family, and friends of the musician, considered one of the most recognized voices in the urban genre in Cuba.

“José was from the village, José was Cuban, and seeing that we Cubans adore him so much and that people come here to the chapel month after month to pay him tribute, that is an honor for me and for all his family,” expressed his cousin, Yumirsi Lahera, in statements to Familia Cuba.
On behalf of the reggaeton artist's family, they expressed gratitude for the affection shown and asked that the musical legacy of El Taiger not be allowed to fade, who managed to conquer stages both on the island and beyond with his unmistakable style.
