The humanitarian activist Norge Ernesto Díaz Blak, known as Noly Blak, confirmed this Sunday through his social media that he was under medical observation after the accident he suffered this Saturday in Holguín.
“Thanks to everyone for your support. I am under observation. I was coming from Banes after delivering Mary’s wheelchair and when I arrived in Holguín, another motorcycle ran the stop sign and hit me. I only have a headache, but we must continue helping,” wrote the activist on his Facebook profile, showing determination and strength despite the incident.
The incident occurred while he was returning from one of his charitable activities, in this case, delivering a wheelchair to someone in need. The activist did not provide any additional details about the driver involved in the collision or whether a formal investigation has been opened.
Noly Blak, known for his independent work in support of people in extreme poverty in the province of Holguín, had been reported a few hours earlier by the user “Miguel Noticias” as hospitalized with memory loss.
However, the direct update from the individual concerned indicates that their condition is not serious and that they remain active in their social work.
In a video shared on Facebook –and later deleted–, the activist stated that he did not intend to file a complaint against the motorist who hit him, and that he had only verbally requested compensation for the damages caused to his own motorcycle.
"War machine, tomorrow we are active," closed his message the activist, reaffirming his commitment to humanitarian aid despite the difficulties.
The community of followers on social media has reacted with messages of relief and support, following the initial reports that had raised concerns about his health.
