The Cuban broadcaster Frank Abel broke his silence after several weeks away from the public eye and refuted the rumors regarding his alleged state of homelessness. In a phone call to the program Destino Tolk, he assured that he is in good health and undergoing emotional recovery.

“Everything that has been said is a lie. I am perfectly fine, with excellent health parameters and ready,” stated Frank Abel during the conversation with the team of the show hosted by Destino Positivo and Fernan.

The former member of the platform explained that his departure was due to a severe depressive episode that forced him to step away from the media: "Indeed, I was suffering from depression. I had a pretty serious diagnosis, along with blood sugar spikes and the issues I faced, and I became unbalanced, but I'm perfectly fine now,” he confessed. He even mentioned that he has been able to regain his weight and has the support of his entire family.

Frank Abel also pointed out that the images supposedly showing him homeless were misinterpreted or circulated with ill intent.

"There was a photo that came out because I was preparing for my trip, and I'm seen with a laundry suitcase getting into an Uber. Someone from Cuba, mind you, not everyone is ill-intentioned, recorded me and, well, we already know that this sad individual made it public, and everyone started to think that I was out on the streets. It's all a lie", he explained.

The speaker assured that he is currently in a process of starting over, focusing on his well-being and the support of his family: "I am going through the situation of starting anew, beginning from scratch. Fortunately, life always starts again tomorrow, and this country sometimes offers opportunities," he stated.

A few weeks ago, Destino Positivo, host of Destino Tolk, publicly expressed his concern about not knowing the whereabouts and health status of the communicator. The interview, which marks his comeback, has been met with messages of affection and support from his followers.
