A young mother gave birth to her baby inside an interprovincial bus traveling the route between Havana and the Second Front in eastern Cuba.
The birth took place on the highway, turning the vehicle into an impromptu delivery room.
The event was recounted by the internet user Keilan Torres in a Facebook post titled “The Miracle on Wheels”, where she described how the bus 3252 became the setting for such an unexpected occurrence.
“In the heart of Cuba, on the route connecting Havana with the Second Front, bus 3252 became the stage for an event that seems straight out of a magical realism novel. There, among seats and luggage, a child was born. Not in the privacy of a hospital, but in the improvised warmth of a group of strangers who, for a few hours, transformed into family,” wrote Torres on Facebook.

According to the testimony, the mother began to feel labor pains during the journey, which created an atmosphere of spontaneous solidarity among the passengers.
Within minutes, the bus transformed into an improvised aid center, the source reported.
The travelers gathered scissors, cotton, water, alcohol, and tissues, while others provided emotional and physical support to the mother.
Among the passengers were health professionals who assisted with the delivery calmly.
Two renowned doctors from Santiago welcomed the baby girl, and one of them encouraged her to cry after birth and latch onto her mother's breast.
Moments later, the cries of the newborn sparked a wave of applause among those present. Some wondered about the ambulance, which apparently "never arrived."
Some passengers refunded the fare to the young mother, while others offered donations to support her in the early days with her baby.
The bus stopped its journey in Sancti Spíritus, where the mother and the baby were taken to the local hospital for medical care.
Both are in good health, according to the passengers who accompanied the birth.
The event, which quickly went viral on social media, has been celebrated despite the hardships that Cubans face daily.
