The popular content creators of the YouTube channel "Javi & Zami" announced this weekend that they have left Cuba to embark on a new project outside the island.

The couple, who have become a benchmark for Cuban culinary content, shared an emotional video explaining how they managed, through their own efforts, to gather the necessary resources to embark on an international journey.

With a fresh, critical, and fun style, Javi and Zami have won over thousands of followers both inside and outside the country. In their videos, they explore luxury restaurants and hotels in Havana, presenting the Cuban gastronomy sector with an honest and relatable perspective.

“We managed to break a barrier,” they said, referring to the difficulties many young creators face when traveling from Cuba with their own resources, whether for pleasure, to emigrate, or for professional projects.

"This trip is an evolution for us, as it will mark a turning point for the channel. This is our second attempt to leave the country in 2025. Mexico denied us the visa in March, but instead of letting it defeat us, we decided that this year we would travel. Here we are, because whatever happens, happens for a reason," said Zami.

"There are many things we would like to try from the first world," Javi confessed, sharing images of his first fulfilled wishes abroad.

Both assured that they will return to Cuba, but did not specify when. They also kept the destinations they will visit and the country that will host them during this new phase a secret.

His departure marks a milestone in the community of Cuban YouTubers, who see in his story an example of perseverance, independence, and creative freedom.
