The Cuban influencer Randy Álvarez, known as Pollito Tropical, announced his unexpected departure from the popular Dominican reality show "La Casa de Alofoke," less than a month after joining as one of the most anticipated participants of this second season.
His decision - which he himself describes as "one of the most difficult" of his life - was revealed in a message spread on Facebook, where he explained that he is stepping back for mental health reasons.
"I was at Alofoke's house, I experienced incredible things and felt the warmth of a family I never imagined. But today, for my mental health, I decided to take a step back and leave the competition," he stated.
The YouTuber also thanked his community of "yellow hearts" for the votes, messages, and constant support since he joined the program.
"This is not a goodbye, it's a necessary break. Mental health comes first, always," he concluded.

On Instagram, she shared a compilation video of her brief time on the reality show, where she reflected on her experiences.
"Sometimes you don't realize how strong you've been until you look back… I'm taking with me moments I'll never forget, laughter that still resonates in my soul, and hugs that supported me when my heart was already weary," he said.
Finally, he assured that he is leaving more aware and more human.
"Today I close this chapter with gratitude, with tears, and with a peace that I needed to find," she emphasized.
A participant who arrived in the Dominican Republic with high expectations
At the end of October, Pollito Tropical arrived in the Dominican Republic to join "La Casa de Alofoke", a production by Alofoke Media Group and one of the most-watched reality shows in Latino digital entertainment.
With almost a million subscribers on YouTube and over 1.7 million followers on Instagram, their debut generated a frenzy among fans.
Upon arriving at the airport, the YouTuber radiated energy and humor, declaring that he was ready to give it his all.
Subsequently, her official entrance to the house went viral: she got out of the vehicle dancing, moving "down to the ground" and overflowing with charisma.
"Even entering has its levels," she wrote alongside the video that amassed thousands of comments and views.
The program brings together 20 participants from more than five countries, living together for 37 days in a format filled with drama, humor, and strategic competition, broadcast entirely on YouTube and followed on social media by thousands of viewers.
A turbulent start within the reality show
Despite the enthusiasm with which he started his participation, Pollito experienced a tense moment just two days after entering the house.
During a seemingly informal conversation, she commented that the winner of the previous season, influencer Darileidy Concepción -known as Crusita- had succeeded "by playing the victim."
The phrase was enough for Santiago Matías (Alofoke), the producer and central figure of the reality show, to react immediately. The cameras captured the argument, which quickly went viral, accumulating over one and a half million views.
"What do you want me to do, fight with people? I came here to give my essence," Pollito replied, visibly uncomfortable with the questioning.
Alofoke, for his part, accused him of wanting to use the same strategy that Crusita supposedly used. The Cuban influencer firmly denied it.
That was one of the most talked-about moments of the reality show and a high-stress point for the content creator, whose fans flooded social media with messages of support.
A journey defined by authenticity and charisma
Born on March 3, 1993, in Havana and emigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 10, Pollito Tropical has been building a strong digital career for nearly a decade.
His content—mixing humor, fashion, makeup, celebrities, and trends—has made him a recognized figure in the Latin community on social media.
Participation in "La Casa de Alofoke" was seen as a new stage in his artistic and media growth. However, the YouTuber prioritized his personal well-being over the pressures of the entertainment industry.
A temporary goodbye that leaves a mark
The release of Pollito Tropical has generated thousands of reactions.
His followers lament his retirement, but they celebrate that he has chosen to protect his emotional stability. For many, his sincerity and vulnerability strengthen the connection he has built with his audience over the years.
Pollito, for his part, assures that this is just a necessary break and promises to return to share content with the strength and authenticity that have made him a favorite among the Latin audience.
