The President of the United States, Donald Trump, was awarded the first FIFA Peace Prize this Friday, a recognition created by the governing body of world football to highlight “extraordinary actions” aimed at promoting stability in regions affected by conflicts, such as Gaza, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Ukraine.
The ceremony took place as part of the official events leading up to the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
