Several teams from Major League Baseball have shown early interest in the Cuban third baseman Yoan Moncada as the free agency market approaches, according to journalist Francys Romero via his account on Facebook.

According to Romero, franchises such as the Pittsburgh Pirates, Los Angeles Angels, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago White Sox have already begun to monitor the player's situation, evaluating his potential inclusion for the upcoming season.

Despite dealing with injuries to his thumb and knee in 2025, Moncada had a satisfactory offensive campaign. The third baseman hit 12 home runs and posted an OPS of .783, figures that reinforce the perception that he can still be an important contributor at the Major League level.

According to the information released, there is a belief in the offices of several teams that, with better physical condition and consistency, the Cuban player could increase his performance in the upcoming season.

Moncada, who made his MLB debut in 2016 and has spent most of his career with the White Sox, enters free agency as an attractive option for teams looking to strengthen their third base with experience, occasional power, and defensive versatility.
