Yoan Manuel Moncada Olivera is a Cuban baseball player who plays as a second and third baseman in Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox. He was born on May 27, 1995, in Cienfuegos. He bats both right and left-handed, throws right-handed, stands 188 cm tall, and weighs 102 kg.
Just two National Series were enough for him to showcase his extraordinary skills in each of the fundamental aspects of the game. Thus, after leaving Cuba in 2014, he joined the Red Sox two years later, where he was considered one of the best prospects in baseball.
However, in Boston he had few opportunities, and upon joining the White Sox, he gradually found the space he needed to unleash all his talent with the bat, the glove, his legs, and his arm.
Nowadays, many experts consider him one of the most complete players in MLB, with the potential to contend for the MVP award. His slash line for 2019 (.315/.367/.548) speaks for itself.
