Yoan Manuel Moncada Olivera is a Cuban baseball player who plays as a second and third baseman in the Major League Baseball, currently for the Chicago White Sox. He was born on May 27, 1995, in Cienfuegos. He bats left-handed and throws right-handed, standing 188 cm tall and weighing 102 kg.
Just two National Series were enough for him to showcase his extraordinary skills in each of the fundamental aspects of the game. After leaving Cuba in 2014, he joined the Red Sox two years later, where he was recognized as one of the top prospects in baseball.
However, in Boston, he had few opportunities, and upon joining the White Sox, he gradually found the space he needed to showcase all his talent with the bat, the glove, his legs, and his arm.
Nowadays, many experts consider him one of the most well-rounded players in MLB, with the potential to contend for the MVP award. His 2019 slash line of (.315/.367/.548) speaks for itself.
