Yoan Manuel Moncada Olivera is a Cuban baseball player who plays as a second and third baseman in the Professional League, where he plays for the Chicago White Sox. He was born on May 27, 1995, in Cienfuegos. He bats left-handed, throws right-handed, and stands 188 cm tall and weighs 102 kg.
It took him just two National Series to showcase his extraordinary skills in each of the basic elements of the game. Thus, after leaving Cuba in 2014, he signed with the Red Sox two years later, where he was recognized as one of the best prospects in baseball.
However, in Boston, he had few opportunities, and upon moving to the White Sox, he gradually found the space he needed to unleash all his talent with the bat, the glove, his legs, and his arm.
Today, many experts consider him one of the most well-rounded players in MLB, with the potential to contend for the MVP award. His 2019 slash line of (.315/.367/.548) speaks for itself.
