The official account of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services published a report on the first year of the Donald Trump administration, highlighting USCIS actions against immigration fraud.
On the social network X it was stated that “there is no room for fraud” under their leadership and that “strong measures” have been taken since January 20, 2025.
According to the message, USCIS reports more than 29,000 fraud allegations, the investigation of over 19,300 cases, and the detection of fraud in 65% of the examined files.
The same report mentions over 6,500 on-site visits and more than 19,500 checks on social media as part of the verification mechanisms.
The official statement maintains that they will not allow "fraudsters to take advantage of the legal immigration system" to remain in the country.
The statement frames the figures as part of a strategy to reinforce the integrity of the immigration system, emphasizing reports, investigations, and both in-person and digital controls.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) assured that since January 20, 2025, their immigration control operations have resulted in over 605,000 deportations and 1.9 million “self-deportations”, presented by the administration as part of a “historic milestone” that would have led more than 2.5 million “illegal foreigners” to leave the country.
The DHS stated that its strategy prioritizes the expulsion of the "most dangerous" irregular immigrants and claimed that the decrease in the irregular population is being felt in the country due to less pressure on public services and a "revival" of local labor markets.
Subsecretary Tricia McLaughlin attributed the results to Trump's immigration policy and Secretary Kristi Noem, according to the cited statement.
In the same report, DHS stated that it has apprehended over 595,000 immigrants in irregular situations since January 20 and reiterated its call for those without legal status to leave the country "now."
It also urged the use of the CBP Home app, which —according to the statement— would offer a "free flight home for Christmas" and $1,000.
As part of the same context, the text states that the Trump administration achieved a "historic record" in the reduction of illegal border crossings.
The Border Patrol reportedly recorded 238,000 arrests throughout the fiscal year, a decline that the government attributes to a "zero tolerance" policy and strengthened controls related to Operation Muro Río, described as a strategy that includes aerial surveillance, sensors, drones, physical barriers, and military personnel along the Rio Grande.
