The premiere of El Rancho de Destino not only left emotions on the red carpet but also featured a tense moment involving Eduardo Antonio, known to everyone as El Divo de Placetas. The Cuban singer attended the event to celebrate the launch of the reality show but ended up upset with the production after an incident with his husband, Roy.

According to the artist himself, in a video posted shortly after the event while he was giving an interview during the live broadcast, someone from the production team approached Roy to inform him that he could not be filmed. “What a lack of respect,” El Divo expressed, visibly indignant. “I came with all the love in the world to share, to applaud that he is achieving what he wanted to do. How can Roy not film me if he always films me? I own my image,” he explained with his usual confidence.

Eduardo Antonio assured that his intention was to support the premiere and bring visibility to the show with the content his husband was recording. “There weren't many celebrities, but I showed up,” he commented with a laugh, making it clear that he expected more courteous treatment from the team. “I find it a great disrespect that there are people in the production who don’t know how to treat those who come with the celebrities,” he added, maintaining his elegant yet assertive tone.

Despite the rough time, the artist concluded the matter with his characteristic diplomatic style. “Destino, I care about you a lot, but you know me. I said what I needed to say and I left. I wish you the best of luck, much success, and may the best win,” he declared, before revealing that his "team" within the reality show is the Cubans Oyacito and Kenny Robert.

During his walk on the red carpet, Eduardo Antonio also confessed that he would like to participate in the next season of El Rancho de Destino, although he made it clear that he would only do it "if they pay what he asks." And knowing the Divo, the production would surely have to open their wallet wide... but no one doubts that every dollar would be well spent, because wherever Eduardo Antonio goes, the show is guaranteed — and so is the drama.
