The White House assured this Wednesday that the immigration policies of the Donald Trump administration are producing "tangible results" in terms of the economy and security, following a year of massive deportations that, according to the government, have reduced crime and improved access to employment and housing for American citizens.
In an official statement, the presidency claimed that the country “is freeing itself from the burden of illegal immigration” thanks to the strict enforcement of the laws and the expedited removal of migrants in irregular situations.
The text attributes a decrease in housing prices to that policy, a rise in wages in manual labor sectors, and the sharpest decline in homicide rates in recent history.
"Mass deportations mean lower housing costs, higher wages, and less crime," the report noted.
According to the published data, in 14 of the 20 major metropolitan areas with high migrant populations, property prices are reported to have dropped over the past year, while wages in sectors such as transportation and construction experienced historic increases.
According to the White House, between January and December 2025, two million American citizens found employment, while 662,000 foreign workers lost their jobs.
The document also highlights a general reduction in homicides, rapes, thefts, assaults, overdose deaths, and traffic accidents.
The government emphasized that the most significant decreases in crime rates occurred in Democratic jurisdictions where deportation and immigration control operations were applied more rigorously.
Washington D.C., Chicago, Memphis, and New Orleans recorded the best indicators in decades, according to official data.
"Under President Trump, the promise of America First is a reality," the statement concludes, accusing Democrats of "trying to sabotage the progress" and restoring "the chaos of open borders."
The announcement reinforces the narrative of security and economic prosperity that the Trump administration has placed at the core of its immigration policy, amidst a year marked by stricter border controls and the expansion of mass deportation programs nationwide.
