Cuban broadcaster Laritza Camacho shared a message on social media that has sparked attention due to its critical tone regarding the rift between the governments of Cuba and the United States and the lack of dialogue with the citizens.
"Trump claims he is in talks with Cuba. Díaz-Canel asserts that there are no discussions with the United States. But when is there a conversation with the people?" questioned Camacho in a post on Facebook, where she expressed her regret over the silence and disconnect between the rulers and the Cuban citizenry.
The communicator warned that "political deafness only generates chaos, division, and a muted silence that roars like the stones of the river before the flood," alluding to the social tension and growing discontent within the island.
Camacho concluded his reflection with a powerful phrase: “At this point, even the deaf should understand the language of Cuba, because the truth is that we are signaling for help.”
His message is a call to listen to the voice of the Cuban people, arriving amidst uncertainty regarding the alleged conversations between Washington and Havana, denied by the leader Miguel Díaz-Canel himself.
