David Calzado loses his passport in Peru



David Calzado, leader of Charanga Habanera, lost his passport in Lima, Peru, and is seeking help to recover it. He previously faced a fire in his home in Havana.

The musician David Calzado lost his passport in Lima, Peru, and has requested help from his followers to recover it.

"I have lost my passport, where I have all my visas, and I need someone to find it if possible. I am on Comandante Espinares street," said the director of Charanga Habanera in an Instagram video.

"To all followers living in Miraflores, please note it's near Comandante Espinar and Calle 2 de Mayo; only the passport is important,” he added in a comment.

At the end of 2025, the Calzado residence was the scene of a fire and an alleged attempted robbery in Havana.

A few months earlier, the director of La Charanga Habanera denied wanting to move to the U.S., despite his frequent visits, he stated that he prefers Spain if he ever leaves Cuba.
