A young Cuban in Spain shared on TikTok what a typical day is like at her job as a taxi driver in the city of Alicante, where she expresses that she feels happy and grateful for her job.

"Hello, I am Cuban and I work as a taxi driver in Alicante. This is normally a day in my life," she says at the beginning of the video, published in early December. In the recording, the young woman showcases her daily routine, starting from when she wakes up at 6:30 in the morning, gets ready, and prepares to begin her day.

"We don't have a uniform, so we wear whatever we want," explains @milenyaguilerasebasco, before highlighting that this has been her favorite job since she arrived in Spain. "I feel like I have so much more time for myself," she says while noting that she keeps the taxi close to her home and walks just one street to start her day.

During the ride, the young woman mentions that she goes to a stop to wait for customers, although she clarifies that she does not record inside the vehicle "obviously" to respect the passengers' privacy. In her testimony, she emphasizes that she enjoys the job because it allows her to discover new places, relax, and stay in touch with friends.

"My favorite part without a doubt is that I get to know a bunch of new places, I can talk to my friends, I relax," she says, while sharing moments of the day that she describes as her "gossip time."

After several hours of work, she explains that she usually ends her day around three in the afternoon. “I turn off the taxi meter and my workday is over,” she says, before adding that what she enjoys most is coming home and being greeted by her dogs. “The truth is that I am very grateful for the job I have,” she concludes.

The video, which has amassed thousands of views and hundreds of comments, has sparked numerous questions among users interested in knowing how she obtained her license or what requirements are necessary to work as a taxi driver in Spain. Several supportive messages congratulate her on her effort and determination, while others share similar experiences from Cubans who also work in the profession in various Spanish cities such as Tenerife, Madrid, Santiago de Compostela, or Salou.
