In the midst of the controversy between Bebeshito and Dany Ome, the Cuban reggaeton artist Mawell decided to break the silence with a message to his peers. Through his Instagram stories, the artist spoke about the lack of humility in the genre and made statements that sparked debate among the fans of the scene.
“I was criticized so much, and today they realize that no one, absolutely no one, was humble. It was all a facade to have the public on their side”, wrote Mawell, hinting that the atmosphere within the Cuban urban movement is far from being as genuine as it appears.

Your message arrives just as social media is ablaze with the war of jabs between Bebeshito and Dany Ome.
The interpreter also took the opportunity to recall his own contribution to the genre and distance himself from controversies: “Come with the beautiful and different cast that I had, which touched the hearts of everyone and part of the world. But nothing, here I am making music and rising up. I have faith that it will happen”, he added, reaffirming his focus on music and not on conflicts.
Although Mawell did not mention any names, many fans interpreted his post as a sort of reaction to what is happening in the Cuban genre, a way of expressing an opinion without directly engaging in the dispute.
