The magazine Billboard included Cubans Oniel Bebeshito and Wampi among the 26 Latin artists to watch in 2026, highlighting their talent, versatility, and the impact they are both having on urban and tropical music.
About Bebeshito, Billboard highlights his historic performance at the Kaseya Center in Miami. “Last August, Bebeshito made history by becoming the first supporting artist to sell out the prestigious Kaseya Center in Miami, where he performed in front of 20,000 people,” the publication notes. The concert, “which exceeded all expectations,” reaffirmed his position as one of the most influential figures in the genre.
Since signing with Planet Records, the artist has placed several songs on the Billboard charts, including the viral hits "Marca mandarina," alongside El Taiger, and "Tacto que llegó el reparto," which reached number 25 on the Tropical Airplay chart. "I feel that this is my best song. It has everything: emotion, joy, and the guaracha, as we Cubans say," the performer stated. "The reparto is experienced and sung in the streets. This song is like saying 'watch out, the Cuban has arrived.'"
Billboard also recalled its participation in the Latin Music Week 2025, where it joined a panel with Olga Tañón, Luck Ra, Grupo 5, and Guaynaa, discussing the rise of cumbia and tropical music in the Latin market.
Regarding Wampi, the magazine highlights his musical talent and innovative style. “Wampi's musical virtuosity and seductive voice are what truly make him an exceptional artist,” notes Billboard, which emphasizes his ability to blend the repertoire with other genres such as Brazilian funk, R&B, salsa, and cha-cha-chá.
The post also recalls his participation in the viral TikTok hit “Tienes Que Nacer de Nuevo” by El Chulo, alongside Dany Ome and Kevincito El 13, a collaboration that marked a new stage in his career and led to the release of his album El Rey de la Habana, which was considered by Billboard as one of the best Latin albums of 2025.
Both artists represent a new generation that is redefining Cuban music on the international scene, bringing the rhythms and tropical sounds to new audiences with freshness, identity, and global ambition.
