Cuban activists confronted Aleida Guevara March, daughter of Che Guevara and one of the most prominent voices of the Cuban regime, this Friday in Seville following her participation in the IV International Meeting Europe for Cuba.

This colloquium was convened by pro-Castro associations and leftist intellectuals from Europe.

The activists Avana de la Torre and Brayan Infante, known for their advocacy against the Cuban dictatorship, awaited Guevara near the cultural center where the meeting was taking place, and there they demanded an end to the dictatorship and the release of political prisoners in Cuba.

In videos shared on social media, the moment when opponents confront the daughter of the Argentine guerrilla about the crimes and abuses committed during the first phase of the Cuban revolution is captured.

“Have you mentioned that your father was a killer, that he set up concentration camps for homosexuals and executed thousands of Cubans?” questioned Infante, creator of the YouTube channel Un asere pensante.

Surprised, Guevara could only respond with a "that's not true," while supporters of the event tried to interrupt the scene.

The discussion intensified when De la Torre replied, "That must also be said," provoking an angry reaction from several attendees.

The activists later denounced that the Cuban participation in the event was "minimal," while representatives from European groups and delegations linked to chavismo and the Communist Party of Spain predominated.

Aleida Guevara, a retired pediatrician and a regular figure in official propaganda, has dedicated the last few years to promoting the narrative of the Havana regime at international forums.

The daughter of the so-called "Heroic Commander" has built a public career around the mythical image of her father, while enjoying privileges and trips abroad that contrast sharply with the crisis faced by the Cuban people.

During his speech at the meeting, Guevara denounced the "imperialist blockade" by the United States and defended the "resistance" of Cuba and Venezuela, amid applause from communist supporters and delegates from various countries in the region.

However, outside the venue, the confrontation with young activists highlighted the growing indignation among Cubans in exile towards those who continue to justify repression in Cuba.

The confrontation ended without major incidents, but marked a new episode of tension between defenders of Castroism and Cuban exiles in Europe, where protests against representatives of the regime are becoming increasingly visible.
