A key tournament amid significant absences

The Series of the Americas serves as a competitive trial for Cuba at a time when several figures associated with MLB organizations have declined to join the national team in recent events, prioritizing professional commitments.

The II Series of the Americas will be one of the first international tournaments of 2026 and aims to establish itself as a regional alternative to the Caribbean Series.
