The lines to obtain fuel in Holguín have become endless, even though the fuel is paid for in foreign currency.
A video posted by the profile of Instagram @holguinenfotos shows a long line of motorcycles and cars stretching across several streets, while drivers wait for hours for the chance to fill up some liters of gasoline.
"The last one is over there," is heard from the content creator as he shows a scene that is repeated throughout Cuba, where the line of cars disappears into the horizon.
The fuel, which is paid for exclusively in dollars using Classic cards, continues to be scarce even at the service stations authorized for foreign currency, where the government fails to ensure a stable supply.
The situation is causing frustration among drivers, who are forced to spend entire nights on the street or turn to the black market, where prices have already exceeded 1,500 pesos per liter. Meanwhile, the authorities remain silent in the face of the energy crisis hitting the country.
