He only has 12 thousand followers on Instagram, but his talent has already crossed the sea. The young Cuban singer El Shadow has achieved what many artists dream of: catching the attention of Nicky Jam, one of the most recognized figures in reggaeton internationally.

Everything began when El Shadow uploaded a video to his social media of him performing his song “La Foto” and asked his followers to mention the Puerto Rican artist so he could listen to the track. What seemed like a simple hope turned into a viral moment. Hours later, Nicky Jam not only saw the video but also enthusiastically commented: “I don't know what you all are saying, I'm jumping on this song. It sounds sooooo good. Awesome,” along with several fire emojis.

The comment from the interpreter of “El Perdón” and “Travesuras” sparked a wave of reactions. Hundreds of users celebrated the achievement of the young Cuban, who has been gaining ground in the urban scene from the island. “Palo y palo,” Nicky Jam also wrote in another comment, confirming that he really liked the afro-beat track.

Artists and producers from the urban music scene, such as Baby Lores, Real Boynesty, Cal Lybeat, and El Dukeoo, also joined in to congratulate El Shadow on the recognition, highlighting his perseverance and talent. "Great, proud of you," "This is your moment," were just some of the messages that filled the post.

Shortly after, the young man shared a heartfelt and faith-filled message of gratitude in his stories: “I do this for my family, for my daughter, for my loved ones, for my fellow Cubans. This achievement is thanks to you and to God. I love you, God”, he wrote, making it clear that his triumph also belongs to those who have supported him from the beginning.

With his fresh style and a musical proposal that fuses tropical rhythms with urban sounds, El Shadow is beginning to make a name for himself within the genre. His story shows that, even from Cuba and with limited resources, passion and talent can open unimaginable doors. And if Nicky Jam keeps his promise, it could be the start of a collaboration that marks a turning point in his career.
