In a recent interview for Swing Completo, Major League pitcher Aroldis Chapman surprised fans by discussing his hobby outside of baseball.
When asked how he enjoys his free time, Chapman was clear: "At home, I don't do anything else. At home, and the other thing is... it's a bit complicated."
When specifically asked about his hobby, Chapman confessed, "I like to hunt. I enjoy going hunting. But not everyone likes it."
The host of Swing Completo commented that hunting is an activity that many find appealing. "I'm almost convinced that 90% of those tuned in enjoy it."
However, Chapman insisted that hunting is a sensitive topic: "Of course, but you know that it's a bit complicated. It's a complicated issue."
Regarding the regulations and legality of his hobby, Chapman stated that he complies with the law. However, he noted that the difficult part is the public's perception.
"The complicated part is the people, those who don’t like it. There are people who don’t like animals being killed and all that, you know? That’s why it’s something that practically no one knows," he stated.
With these statements, Chapman made it clear that hunting is a personal hobby, discreet and subject to controversy, revealing a side of his life outside of baseball that few are aware of.
