The President of the United States, Donald Trump, sidestepped a direct question on Wednesday about his potential continuation in power beyond 2029 during an interview with the NBC News network.

The journalist asked him, "On January 21, 2029, do you see any scenario where you are still President?"

Trump responded with a smile: “Wouldn't it be terrible if I gave you the answer that you're looking for? It would make life so much less exciting... I only do this for one reason: Make America Great Again.”

The response, which could very well be interpreted as a way to maintain suspense about his political future, arrives amid significant tensions regarding his management, characterized by a strong anti-immigrant policy.

During the interview, the leader insisted that his goal remains “Make America Great Again” and avoided giving any hints about whether he plans to retire or continue in politics after 2028.
