A video recorded on the Central Highway by content creator Carlos (@carlos_yiii) has gone viral on social media due to an unusual and controversial scene.
The young man, who was riding his motorcycle in Cuba with a foreign driver's license, captured the moment of his police stop for speeding without showing the officer's face.
In the video, the agent is heard telling the motorist a phrase that has sparked laughter, disbelief, and debate.
"You don't know how that acceleration excites me, but you need to moderate your speed, my king, because this is the Carretera Central. Do you have the Cuban driver's license?" The young man admits that he doesn't have that document but presents his license in order.
The tone of the conversation and the use of colloquial expressions drew the attention of thousands of users, who reacted with comments ranging from mockery to astonishment.
Some joked that they would "pay all the fines" if the police spoke to them that way, while others questioned whether that language is appropriate during a police stop.
The video reopens the debate on professionalism and the boundaries of the relationship between authorities and citizens in Cuba.
