While millions of viewers will watch the official halftime show of Super Bowl 2026, President Donald Trump plans to watch an alternative show promoted by the conservative group Turning Point USA (TPUSA), called the “All-American Halftime Show,” according to published information.
According to the text, TPUSA aims to “compete” with the halftime show and has already released a list of artists for its proposal: Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, and Lee Brice.
The Super Bowl 2026, scheduled for this Sunday, February 8, in Santa Clara, California, featuring the matchup between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, is expected to attract an audience of 123 million viewers in the United States.
Trump will not attend the final in person, and his team cited reasons of distance.
Instead, the president would have chosen his private club Mar-a-Lago (Palm Beach, Florida) to host a "watch party" and follow the game in a private setting.
Trump arrived in Palm Beach County on Friday night and would stay over the weekend for the event, which prompted temporary road closures around Mar-a-Lago for security and organizational reasons, according to the same report.
The White House explained that Trump does not plan to watch the halftime show headlined by Bad Bunny, and instead will dedicate that segment to the alternative show driven by TPUSA.
The White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, stated: “I believe the president would much prefer a performance by Kid Rock than by Bad Bunny, I must say.”
Trump's refusal to attend would be linked to the halftime show artists, as the president criticized the selection of Bad Bunny with terms like "absolutely ridiculous" and "terrible."
