"Miami ends your tourist life."

A Colombian living in Miami (@julioraw_ on TikTok) went viral for sharing a theory that many residents of the city agreed with — and others did not —: “Miami ruins your tourist life.”

From Singapore, where he is on vacation, the young man explained that living in the City of the Sun completely changes how one enjoys other destinations. "Every time you travel to a new place, by the second day you want to return to Miami. It doesn't matter if it's Dubai, Las Vegas, New York, or Singapore," he said in the video, which has already garnered thousands of views.

According to his argument, Miami "has already surpassed GTA," meaning it has everything: luxury, beaches, exotic cars, modern buildings, shopping malls, nightlife, and a vibrant Latino community. "After living here, nothing impresses you the same way," he stated.

Her statement sparked intense debate in the comments. Some completely agreed: “I agree, I love Miami,” commented one user, while another wrote: “True, Miami is the best.” But many others disagreed: “Singapore surpasses Miami in every way,” said one follower. Another was more direct: “There is history and culture that you can’t buy and live in Miami.”

Several users took the opportunity to compare it to their own experiences. "I lived for six months in Medellín and I prefer Medellín a thousand times," wrote one, while another added: "That happens when you come from a small town. Traveling is not just about seeing beautiful things, it's about culture and experience." Others defended the creator: "His opinion is his opinion," and "Everyone lives differently," they pointed out.

The video has gone viral because, beyond the humor, it addresses a real issue among many Latinos who emigrated to South Florida: after getting used to the comfort and glamour of Miami, few places manage to truly impress them.

And you, does the same happen to you? Or do you think there are still cities that can steal your heart after living in Miami?
