The U.S. launches lethal attacks against narco-terrorists in the Caribbean and the Pacific

The United States reported on Tuesday, February 17, that it carried out a precise strike in the Pacific against three vessels transporting drugs that were coming from South American countries.

According to the statement from Southern Command, โ€œat the last hour of February 16, under the direction of the commander, General Francis L. Donovan, the Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out three lethal kinetic strikes against three vessels operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations.โ€

"Intelligence confirmed that the vessels were navigating known drug trafficking routes and were involved in drug trafficking operations," added the Southern Command forces.

โ€œThe toll was eleven narco-terrorists killed during these actions: four on the first vessel in the Eastern Pacific, four on the second vessel in the Eastern Pacific, and three on the third vessel in the Caribbean. No members of the U.S. military were injured,โ€ states the official text.

It is important to remember that Southern Command oversees U.S. military activities in Latin America and the Caribbean as part of the so-called Southern Spear Operation, a campaign that has included multiple attacks on vessels suspected of drug trafficking in both the Caribbean and the Pacific since September 2025.
