The controversy over the $20,000 for third place at El Rancho de Destino escalated when Destino Tolk publicly accused La Diosa of not clarifying that she already had the check in her possession, while on social media the debate grew over whether the money had been paid or not.

In a video posted on his social media, the creator of the reality show stated that the program did not owe money to anyone and that the payment had been made. “We did pay you,” he asserted, implying that the artist could have put an end to the speculation if she had clearly stated that the check had already been delivered.

Destino also reacted to third-party comments claiming alleged non-compliance and pointed out that no one could "label them as deadbeats." They even displayed the image of the check issued in the name of La Diosa's company, insisting that the funds were available.

Her statements came just before the singer publicly presented the check to St. Jude Hospital, thus fulfilling the promise she had made from the beginning of the reality show to donate the prize if she won any amount.

The crossing revealed that, beyond the donation, the point of friction lay in the public narrative: while questions about the payment were raised on social media, Destino was waiting for La Diosa to clarify that she already had the money. Ultimately, the artist responded by showing the check and formalizing the donation.

With the presented document and the delivery made, the discussion appears to be practically concluded, although the prior exchange made it clear that the controversy was both media-related and contractual.
