A young Cuban woman identified on TikTok as @emefuentes has sparked an intense debate on social media after sharing what it's like to live in a military base in the United States. Her video, which is approaching two million views, has generated both surprise and controversy among users.

"I am 21 years old and live on a military base in the United States. I want to talk about the rules that exist here and no one mentions them," says the young woman at the beginning of the clip, who claims to have been living on a military base in California for two years.

Among the aspects that caught the most attention is the supposed dress code. As explained, you cannot dress “just any way”, not even to go to the supermarket within the base. He also stated that the speed limit is 25 miles per hour throughout the facility and that it is strictly enforced because “there are police everywhere.”

"If you're running late to somewhere, don't go, because you can't rush," he comments in the video.

Another point that sparked curiosity was online shopping. According to his testimony, only packages from recognized stores like Amazon or major franchises can enter without issues. “If it’s a store that isn’t very well-known, they won’t let it through, and you lose your order. You literally lose it,” he stated, adding that every time he buys something online, he “prays” for it to arrive.

Identification, as he recounts, is also mandatory at all times. “You could have been living here for 10 years, but if you don't have your identification with you, you don't exist,” he states.

One of the moments that surprised his followers the most was when he recounted that one night, while he was asleep, four men arrived at his home to change the windows without any notice. "They changed them in 10 minutes," he recounted.

Despite the restrictions she described, @emefuentes also acknowledged that living on the base offers greater peace of mind and security.

However, not everyone was convinced by his account. In the comments, several users questioned his claims. One person stated that her husband has served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years and described what was said as “completely false.” Another user, who lives in Oceanside, California, claimed that they have never heard of a mandatory dress code within a military base.

While some support her and react with surprise, others ask for more details and question the authenticity of her experience. What is certain is that the video has sparked a debate about what life is really like inside a military base in the United States.
