A Cuban creator on TikTok (@geoylili) decided not to stay silent in the face of those who question the figures that some digital sellers claim to generate on social media. In a video that has already garnered thousands of views, she directly reacted to those who accuse other creators of "inflating" their numbers.
“What kind of blowhard is that Flor de Cuba, claiming to sell a million and a bit dollars a month, making 5 thousand dollars a day”, he quoted in a critical tone, before firmly responding: “That’s what everyone says who really doesn't understand the power of social media.”
The TikToker went further and announced her own figure: she claimed that she and her husband have managed to earn 22 thousand dollars in commissions in a single day. However, she clarified that these results did not come overnight. “That happened after a whole year of failing, making videos, wanting to throw in the towel,” she explained.
According to him, the process included constant study, analysis of strategies from other sellers, reading books, and consuming specialized podcasts. “But all of this while continuing to make videos. If you don't start, you won't see how far you can go,” he insisted.
She also responded to those who downplay the results by arguing that other creators were already influencers. “I don't have 100,000 followers. I don't even have 50,000. I started from scratch. My husband has even less,” she stated, assuring that they have managed to sell over a million dollars a month by applying discipline and strategy.
The reactions in the comments have been mostly supportive, with messages like "That's right," "It can be done," and "Thank you for sharing." However, there were also skeptics. "Even you don't believe it," wrote one user, making it clear that the debate is still open.
Between inspiration and doubts, the video raises once again a question that divides opinions: can anyone really generate millions in income through TikTok Shop or digital marketing… or is it only a select few who can achieve this?
