The Cuban influencer Lianet Martí, known on social media as La Mija, shared with her followers the difficult time her family experienced after her husband, Jorge Luis Ruiz, suffered a heart crisis that required urgent medical intervention.

According to the influencer herself on Instagram, her partner was born with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a congenital condition that both were unaware of until just a few days ago. This anomaly causes an additional electrical pathway in the heart that can lead to severe arrhythmias.

“We went through the worst 48 hours of our lives. We are already home and everything is fine thanks to God and the doctors who acted quickly,” wrote La Mija while sharing several images from the hospital and explaining the difficult moment they went through.

The influencer also detailed that the arrhythmia her husband experienced could have had serious consequences if they had not acted quickly, which led the doctors to decide to intervene to correct the issue. The procedure involved cauterizing the additional electrical pathway that was causing the arrhythmia.

After the surgery, Jorge Luis is now recovering at home with his family. La Mija expressed gratitude for the support received on social media and assured that, after the scare, her husband will be able to continue with his normal life.

The couple, who reside in Miami and create content for social media, are experiencing a good personal and professional moment. Just a few months ago, they celebrated the birth of their third child, and recently they also attended the Premio Lo Nuestro red carpet, where they mingled with other artists and influencers from the entertainment world.
