TikTok is no longer just about dances and viral challenges. For many Cuban creators, the platform has become a genuine moneymaking machine. The trend is clear: more and more influencers are strongly betting on TikTok Shop as their primary source of income, sharing figures that just a few years ago seemed unimaginable.
From creators who claim to have earned 22 thousand dollars in a single day in commissions, to established figures like Flor de Cuba, who has spoken of monthly earnings that can exceed 30 thousand dollars —and even reach 80 thousand in her best months—, the phenomenon continues to grow. Even Camila Guiribitey, known for her millionaire lifestyle, promotes products on the platform, confirming that the digital business does not differentiate between large fortunes and new entrepreneurs.
But the list continues to grow. Another name that has recently gained attention is Lianet Martí, known on social media as “La Mija.” The entrepreneur celebrated reaching the so-called “Sapphire Level” on TikTok Shop, a category that entails selling over $400,000 in products within a 30-day period. According to her, she achieved this level in just seven months, insisting that it wasn’t due to luck, but rather discipline, consistency, and strategy.
But it's not just about well-known names. Young couples, entrepreneurial mothers, and creators of beauty, home, or lifestyle content share snapshots of their earnings panels and motivational messages for those who want to start from scratch. Many claim they don’t even have 50,000 followers and yet generate five-digit figures each month. The message is the same: you don't need to be famous to make money.
The model is simple in theory: promote products in short videos, insert the purchase link, and earn a commission for each sale generated. However, behind the numbers, there are trend analyses, constant content production, and a clear strategy. Some have even left traditional jobs to fully dedicate themselves to selling on the platform.
For many within the Cuban community in the United States, TikTok Shop has become a modern version of the American dream: working from home, without a boss, and with earnings that far exceed the average salary. For others, the figures raise doubts and skepticism. Are we witnessing a new Cuban digital empire or a bubble that might not last? The truth is that the craze for TikTok Shop is in full swing and is changing the way many understand money on social media.
