Velito El Bufón released a teaser... and social media wasted no time in reacting: for many, that song has a name and a face.
The Cuban reggaeton artist shared a snippet of his new song, and it only took a few seconds for the debate to ignite. Because although he does not mention names, there is something that is crystal clear to many: this story has a recipient... and her name is Thalía.
"Last night I spoke to the moon about you... and it already knew what I was going to say," the preview begins, setting the tone from the start. From there, everything oscillates between nostalgia, regret, and acceptance.
In the lyrics, he describes that woman who is no longer by his side but remains important: “He says she has a beautiful glow, a girl of colors… and that she’s with a man who does give her flowers.”
Because she not only acknowledges that she moved on, but she also takes responsibility for her mistakes: "I know I hurt you by swimming with other fish... but I wish for your happiness, if you ultimately deserve it."
But if there is one part that has set social media ablaze, it's the chorus: “Hey, take care of her... and give her more than I ever did. She likes to be loved and to be hugged all night long.”
A phrase that many interpret as a direct message, straightforward and to the point.
The comments leave little room for doubt: “That song has a name and surname," "For sure, it's Thalía," "The muse of his songs is named Thalía.”
Others go further and see it as an emotional confirmation: “Thalía will always be Thalía in Velito's life,” wrote a user, summarizing what many think.
The preview has also stirred nostalgia among his fans, who celebrate the return of a more sentimental Velito: “What a feeling the song gives me,” “Another hit,” “That Velito is back.”
All of this comes at a complicated personal moment. His split from Thalía —the mother of his two children and who recently gave birth— is still very much on his mind, while he remains active in music, social media, and new phases of his life.
Meanwhile, everyone is waiting for the full release of the song to confirm what everyone suspects: the song is inspired by his ex.
