A night of distress and long hours in the emergency room was what the Cuban influencer Claudia Artiles experienced alongside her 3-year-old son Marlon. What began as a scare in the dead of night turned into a frustrating experience that the young mother didn't hesitate to share with her followers.
Everything began around midnight when Marlon woke up crying in pain. Claudia, guided by her maternal instinct, decided to take him to the hospital around 12:50 AM. What followed was an exhausting wait: they did not attend to her until 2:30 AM, when they explained that there were many cases. At 3 AM, she was moved to a room, but the doctor did not arrive until 4.
Claudia recounts that she tried to expedite the care from the beginning. "I know what my son has. My son has gas, he has a stomachache. I need you to prescribe something for him, tell me what I can give him and let me go," she explained in the video. However, the staff insisted on performing an ultrasound and X-rays to rule out something serious that might require surgery. At 5:30 in the morning, the doctor confirmed what Claudia had already suspected: Marlon had gas. They prescribed a medication to be taken four times a day as needed.
The influencer did not hide her frustration with the system. "A whole night in a hospital just to end up being told what I already knew," she summarized. Claudia attributed the additional procedures to economic interests: "It's all about getting money from the insurance," she stated, and warned her followers: "Don’t waste your time because they’re just taking money from the insurance; you spend hours in the hospital and in the end, they tell you what you already know."
Despite her exhaustion, Claudia closed the story with a reassuring message. "Marlon is fine, he's been passing a lot of gas throughout the day, he slept the entire day, as you can imagine," she said with laughter. "I already said goodbye, he's with his dad now, everything is fine. I wanted to make this video to let you know that everything is okay, not to worry, and just want to say that I love you all very much," she added.
The episode takes place just a few days after Claudia celebrated Marlon's third birthday with a grand party featuring balloons, an inflatable, and a Mickey Mouse cake. The influencer is widely known in the Cuban social media community for documenting her motherhood with Marlon and raising awareness about Down syndrome with positivity.
The video also comes at an emotionally intense moment for Claudia. In January 2026, she suffered a miscarriage along with her partner, the Cuban influencer Ultrack (Jorge Batista), and was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome. Just two days before this video, on March 25, she had publicly confessed her desire to become a mother again. "I can't leave Marlon alone; he needs a brother," she stated at that time, clarifying that the moment would come "when God blesses me with the opportunity to be a mother again."
The video also reflects Claudia's defense of the maternal instinct as a fundamental tool. "Your motherly instinct never fails when you have a mother's instinct and you know that your child is in pain and you know what that pain is," she emphasized, in a message directed especially at the mothers who closely follow her.
